Now online casinos again from October 1st. admitted in the New Zealand market, we see gambling returning to football. In other countries such as England, Spain and our southern neighbors in Australia, the sponsors from the online gambling industry have been present for some time, now also in New Zealand - it was previously known that the Royal Vegas Casino will reconnect with football. Previously, the Royal Vegas Casino was already the main sponsor of the Eredivisie, from October 1 it is the Responsible Betting Partner of Dutch football.

Royal Vegas Casino is committed to 4 years as a betting partner of the Eredivisie. Not only the Eredivisie benefits from the opening of the gambling market. The clubs will also benefit from this change in government policy from 1 October.

Clubs also close deal with casinos

TOTO was able to conclude an agreement with 10 Eredivisie quite quickly. Among other things, the top clubs Feyenoord and PSV were committed by TOTO as a sleeve sponsor. Other clubs such as RKC Waalwijk, Willem II and FC Utrecht were also committed to a minimum sponsorship amount of $200,000 dollars. In addition, 4 teams were also recorded in the New Zealand Women's Eredivisie, including Ado Den Haag and Fc Twente. Topclub Ajax was not yet committed by an online casino as an official betting partner. However, there have been some rumors in the past about an agreement with Unibet, which should bring the Amsterdam club several millions. Ajax recently extended the contract with Ziggo as the main sponsor, so Unibet will not play this role for the Amsterdammers. In addition to Ajax, AZ was also associated with Unibet. If Unibet manages to obtain a license for the New Zealand market, there will finally be an opportunity to realize these rumors.

There are also rumors of a collaboration between Fortuna Sittard and the British gambling giant Bet365. If the deal goes through with Bet365, Fortuna Sittard will not be the first football club to be sponsored by Bet365. Previously, Stoke City, Villarreal, Athletic Bilbao and Real Betis, along with other LaLiga clubs, were already committed to a sponsorship deal.
