“ noting that New Zealand sport currently relies to a large extent for its funding on contributions from lotteries and sponsorship agreements with gambling companies; proposes that the chamber ask the New Zealand Sports Council for advice on whether and if so how New Zealand sport can become less dependent on revenues from games of chance and on sponsorship from gambling companies ”
Van Nispen of the SP thus finds that the sport is too dependent on sponsorship agreements and contributions from the lottery.
