Mr Green Casino received a warning from the Danish Gambling Authority (KSA) after it failed to comply with the anti-Money Laundering Act. The reason why the CSA online casino games a young Danish player who has deposited $40.00 USD in 2021 on his Mr Green account.

These deposits were made without Mr Green, according to the KSA, having sufficient insight into whether or not the player's money came from criminal activities. This knowledge is mandatory according to The Know Your Customer measures that the Danish KSA has put in place to prevent money laundering.

In his statement, the KSA states that Mr. Green estimated the player's profession and income by Googling for the player on the internet. Based on this information, Mr. Green determined that the player needed to earn enough to be able to deposit $40,000. The regulator noted that the casino believed that the player could finance his gambling behavior with this income level, despite, it was added, that the person had “deposited more than his disposable income”.

The Danish KSA found that Mr. Green had made an incorrect assessment of the player's profession and, consequently, the player's income, which means that the online casino had insufficient knowledge of the player. It is advised that the company “should have investigated the player's earnings further because the investigations that were done were not sufficient to establish a refute suspicion of money laundering”.
