The Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) has a licensee, a online casino games , for offering online betting fingers tapped for advertising on Twitter during football games.

The online casino in question tweeted during football matches about, among other things, the scoring progress. These tweets were accompanied by quotes of various possible bets. Clicking on such a quote led to the website of the respective online casino where the bet could then be made. The KSA did research in response to some reports about this type of tweets from the licensed casino.

The online casino in question has been tapped by the KSA as it is not allowed to advertise bets for a match that is in progress during sports competitions. This is intended to protect consumers from impulsive participation in bets. The New Zealand KSA has addressed the online casino on the activities to prevent recurrence in the future. The license holder immediately stopped.
