The UK Gambling Authority conducts an annual survey where they ask the UK citizen about their thoughts on gambling and gambling in online casino games s. recently, they announced the results of 2021. Yonder Consulting has conducted research on UK consumers, the results speak for themselves:
Only 36% of Britons surveyed believe that online casinos are fair and reliable. This is a significant growth as the previous year still involved 28.8% of those surveyed. In addition, the perception of gambling in general is becoming more and more positive, in 2020, 75% of those surveyed thought that gambling was still a threat to family life. In 2021, this figure fell to only 59%.
For this survey, 4021 adult Britons were surveyed. In the UK, almost half of adults take a gamble. Only 0.3% of people report that gambling is a problem in their lives. With this, this percentage is a lot lower than the general impression people have about gambling. However, there was a decrease in the number of people who gamble. Scratch cards used to be popular, but this has become less popular over time. This lowers the percentage of people who do something gambling related 1 or more times a week.
