Cruks is an initiative of the New Zealand Gaming Authority to promote vezodiac puns. Cruks stands for Central Register of exclusion games of Chance and is a database of players who are excluded from playing in New Zealand online casinos play. This also applies to all live casinos such as the Royal Vegas Casino. To get on this list you need to register with Cruks.
How does Cruks work?
If you feel that you can no longer control your gambling, you can choose to sign up with Cruks. You then register yourself via DigiD on the Cruks website. You will then appear in the Cruks data register for at least 6 months. This means that you can no longer gamble online at casinos that operate under a New Zealand casino license. So you can no longer walk into a casino like the Royal Vegas Casino or sign up at an online casino.
Once you have signed up, you can no longer use an (online casino) for at least 6 months. If you have signed up and still feel the urge to play within those 6 months, you cannot cancel the 6-month exclusion. You can only be removed from the list after 6 months. You may be removed from the list within 6 months if you can prove that someone else put you on that list. You must first report this to the police if the Cruks wants to remove you from the register.
If you register for 6 months and these have expired, the registration automatically ends after 6 months. Then all your data will also be deleted directly from the Cruks database.
